PRIVACY POLICY

EFFECTIVE SEPTEMBER 14, 2026 · REPLACES THE JULY 7, 2026 VERSION

The Feed Machine ("we," "us") is operated by Sarah Larae Creative, Chattanooga, Tennessee. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, who else touches it, and the promises we make about your photos.

THE SHORT VERSION

  • We never use your photos for anything except making your content. No marketing, no demos, no AI training, no portfolio use, nothing, unless you give us explicit written consent first.
  • Your photos auto-delete 15 days after your last scheduled post (about 45 days after a normal month is delivered). We are not a backup service; your originals stay wherever they live.
  • We collect the minimum needed to run the service: your email, your gallery links or uploads, your brand preferences, your Instagram connection, and payment through Stripe.
  • The only advertising tool on this site is a Meta Pixel on the public marketing pages. It never runs inside your account, and in California, the EU and the UK it asks before it loads.

WHAT WE COLLECT

Account information. Your email address (used for passwordless sign-in links), your Instagram handle, the brand and style answers you give us, and your posting preferences (days, time, timezone).

Your photos and footage. Photos you upload or link from Google Drive, Dropbox, Pixieset, ShootProof, CloudSpot, or Pic-Time, plus any behind-the-scenes video clips you point us to. We store web-resolution copies in private cloud storage. Photo metadata such as camera settings and GPS location is stripped from the copies we keep.

Your Instagram connection. When you connect Instagram (through Facebook Login), we hold the account identifier and the access token needed to publish on your behalf, plus the status and link of each post we scheduled. We never see or store your Instagram or Facebook password.

Your past captions, if you turn on voice training. If you choose to train the machine on your own posts, we fetch the captions from your public Instagram profile, keep a short written profile of how you write plus a handful of sample captions, and use them only to draft your own captions. You can turn this off or delete it from your brand page.

Free preview leads. If you try the free preview, we collect the email you enter to unlock your results, and we may send you follow-up emails about the product. Unsubscribe anytime.

Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.

Usage and diagnostic data. Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) used for security and to keep the service running, and error records that can include the gallery link or handle you submitted so we can fix what went wrong.

HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use your photos and information for one purpose: generating, delivering and, if you choose, posting your social media content. That includes analyzing your photos with an automated vision model to select, arrange, and caption posts; rendering video clips into Reels; building your posting calendar; publishing approved posts to your connected Instagram account on the schedule you set; and sending you sign-in links, delivery notices, and optional posting reminders. Captions and hooks are drafted by an automated language model and shown to you for review before anything is posted.

YOUR PHOTOS: OUR CONSENT PROMISE

We will not use your photos for any purpose other than providing the service to you without your explicit written consent. Specifically, without that consent we will never: use your photos in our marketing, advertising, demos, or examples; share your photos with any third party except the service providers listed below (who process them only on our instructions); use your photos to train AI models; or display your photos publicly anywhere other than the Instagram account you connected and asked us to post to.

Under our provider's commercial terms, the AI provider that processes your photos and writes your captions does not use that content to train its models.

PHOTOS OF OTHER PEOPLE

Most photos you upload contain your clients and their guests. You, the photographer, are responsible for having the rights and consents needed to upload those photos for processing and to publish them (see our Terms of Service). We process them only on your instructions. If you appear in a photo processed by our service and want it removed, email us and we will delete it.

COOKIES AND TRACKING

One cookie of our own. When you sign in we set a session cookie so you stay signed in for up to 30 days. It holds no personal data beyond your account reference.

Meta Pixel. Our public marketing pages (the home page, the free preview, the join and welcome pages) use a Meta Pixel to measure whether our advertising works. It reports page views and the steps in the funnel (viewing a preview, unlocking it, starting checkout, completing checkout) to Meta, along with the technical identifiers Meta uses for advertising. We do not send it your email, name, or any photo. It does not run inside your account pages. If you are in California, the European Union, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, or if we cannot tell where you are, we ask before it loads, and it stays off unless you say yes. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat that as no and never load it. You can also control how Meta uses this data in your Facebook and Instagram ad settings.

Do Not Track. We honor the Global Privacy Control signal as described above. We do not otherwise respond to browser Do Not Track settings, because there is no accepted standard for them.

HOW LONG WE KEEP THINGS

  • Uploaded photos and footage, and everything generated from them: deleted 15 days after the last post scheduled from that month. For a normal month that is about 45 days after delivery. After that, download links stop working and the copies are erased from our storage. Your original photos are never touched.
  • Free preview uploads: download links you request expire after 24 hours; the preview page and stored copies are deleted within 45 days.
  • Account information, brand answers, voice profile, Instagram connection: kept while your account is active. Email us to close your account and we delete them within 30 days; disconnecting Instagram removes the connection and its token.
  • Free preview lead emails: kept for up to 12 months unless you unsubscribe or ask sooner.
  • Diagnostic error records: kept for up to 90 days.
  • Payment records: kept as long as required for tax and accounting law.

You can request earlier deletion of anything, anytime, by emailing us.

WHO WE SHARE DATA WITH

Only the providers that make the service work, and only so they can do their specific job. Each one processes data on our instructions under its own privacy and security terms.

  • Vercel hosts the application and its logs.
  • Supabase stores your photos, footage, and account records in private buckets.
  • Anthropic runs the vision and language models that select photos and draft captions and hooks.
  • Shotstack renders your video clips into Reels.
  • bundle.social connects to Instagram on your behalf, holds the connection, and publishes the posts you approve. Instagram itself is operated by Meta, whose terms govern what happens on the platform.
  • Stripe processes payments and holds your card details.
  • Resend delivers sign-in links, delivery notices, and reminders from the app.
  • ActiveCampaign delivers follow-up emails to free preview leads.
  • Apify fetches captions from your public Instagram profile when you turn on voice training, and is a fallback for reading some gallery platforms.
  • Dropbox, Google, Pixieset, ShootProof, CloudSpot, and Pic-Time are contacted only to fetch the galleries and folders you link.
  • Meta receives the Pixel events described above on marketing pages, with your consent where required.

We never sell your data, and we never share your photos with advertisers. We may disclose data if the law requires it, or to protect the service or its users.

SECURITY

Photos are stored in private buckets, never public. Every request for your content checks that it belongs to your account, and file links are signed and expire. All traffic is encrypted in transit. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach affecting your data we will notify you as the law requires.

YOUR RIGHTS

Email us to access, correct, or delete your data, to disconnect Instagram, or to close your account. We respond within 30 days. California residents: you may ask what personal information we hold about you and have it deleted; we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context advertising, and we will not treat you differently for exercising these rights. EU and UK residents may have additional rights under GDPR; the same email is the way to exercise them.

CHILDREN

The service is for business use by adults 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. Photos you upload may include minors (family sessions, weddings); consent for those is your responsibility as the photographer, per our Terms.

CHANGES

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will email account holders before it takes effect and update the date at the top of this page.
